Lawmakers have passed a school choice bill making it easier to cross district lines.
The bill now goes to governor andy beshear... under the bill..
School districts get to create policies allowing students to attend schools there if they live in other districts.
The bill also allows funding pools to help pay for educational expenses.
It cleared the house tonight after the senate amended the bill earlier today to expand the potential use of tax credit scholarships for private school tuition.
The bill allows for the creation of education opportunity accounts, backed by donors who would receive a tax credit.
The money could be used for a variety of educational expenses and for public school tuition.
