Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at Kamakhya Temple on Wednesday.
CM Adityanath visited the temple during his day-long tour to poll-bound Assam.
The UP chief minister will address a public gathering later in the evening.
Assembly polls in Assam for 126 seats will be held in three phases starting from March 27.
The voting will conclude on April 6 and the counting will take place on may 2.
