Utica Common Council passes nursing home resolution

The Utica Common Council has unanimously passed a resolution to hold nursing home owners accountable for the care of the patients.

Nursing home owners accountable for the care they say is being provided.

A number of nurses, who work in local nursing homes, gathered with city lawmakers today at hanna park to say thank you.

The resolution asks state lawmakers to pass nursing home reform legislation as part of the state budget.

Nurses say this action will mean giving residents the best care.

And giving families peace of mind.
