From a policy watchdog group in kentucky finds that... if president biden goes through with a proposed student debt forgiveness plan... hundreds of thousands of kentuckians would benefit.
The plans calls for $50,000 in student loan debt to be forgiven... per borrower.
The kentucky center for economic policy says its data show 489,800 kentuckians.... or 80-percent of kentucky borrowers.... will have the full amount of their student loan debt paid off.
Another 125,800 kentuckians will have a portion of their student loans forgiven.
The group says..
Among kentucky borrowers... the median amount owed is around $18,000.
