As the first... first responders... dispatchers... and this week is about recognizing and celebrating them through national public safety telecommunicators' week fleming county dispatchers say they're the first person someone talks to when they need help... whether there's a shooting... or someone is sick or scared... they say while the job can be hard mentally... it's also rewarding... and way more than just answering the phone jenny "it's nice to know that you can be someone's life line.
That you can be there to help them whatever the troubles might be."
