Creativity of area young people is on display for the next month in downtown tupelo.
Lee county school district art teachers have been busy this week preparing for the "lee county impressions elementary art show" at the gumtree museum of art.
The pandemic forced the annual show to go virtual last spring, which makes this in- person event even more special for this year's art students.
We are so excited that the gumtree art museum is giving us the opportunity to use this space it been a challenge year this year with the covid pandemic limitation of supplies and we are so proud of what our students have been able to accomplish this year this mean a lot to the students every year.
The art show begins next week and will hang through may 13.
It is open free to the public tuesday through friday from 10am-4pm and on saturdays from 11am-3pm.
The museum is located on west main street in tupelo.
