In 2017, John Loach secretly recorded Dana Cheatham Pritchard claiming that she had had an affair with Tennessee 10th Judicial District Attorney Steve Crump.
Though this recording was submitted to the lead detective in the murder investigation of James Cheatham, John and Dana's half-brother, by his wife, Miranda Cheatham, it never made its way to the 2019 trial as evidence.
