According to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 5,221 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours taking the overall number of Covid-related infections in the country to 4,45,00,580.
The active COVID-19 cases in the country have now declined to 47,176, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
