Increased Search Powers In Place After Leeds Machete Attack

Increased stop and search powers have been put in place temporarily in part of Leeds to prevent serious violence and keep communities safe following an incident last night. 

At 7.07pm on Monday, police were contacted by the ambulance service who had been called to Reginald Row, Chapeltown, where two men had been attacked with a machete. 

The men, both aged 20, were taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.
