Justin and Petar bring you action from 16 local games in week eight of The Locker Room

And with that, we say good evening to you, and a warm welcome inside the locker room..my name is justin prince, joined as always by my partner petar hood..and pete, if god ever created the perfect night for football, it would be this one...yeah, no kidding..an absolutely gorgeous night for friday night lights here in northeast indiana..hopefully you were able to get out and catch a game...if not, we've got you covered with highlights from 16 of 'em right here in the locker room tonight..yeah, week eight of the high school football season, so we've got conference championship up for grabs all across the area..but we begin with a battle for first place in the ne-8... yeah our game of the week takes us out to columbia city tonight... ???4-a #13 c-city playing host to seventh ranked leo... the lions come into the night in sole possession of first place in the ne-8... eagles sitting just one game back at 6-1 on the season..???pick it up late second quarter... leo up 7-0... but columbia city gets on the board here..

Greg bolt sneaks in from one yard out... we're all squared at seven heading in to the halftime... ???same score, third quarter... lions so methodical with that ground and pound attack, but they've got the athletes to break a big one on any given play... ethan crawford gets loose here... leo back on top..???and that's where they'd stay for the rest of the night... later in the third quarter, eagles trying to answer... but ethan sievers is stripped... dallen wirtz jumps on it for the lions..

???and it leads to this touchdown dive from jackson barbour... leo goes up 21-7... ???they go on to win by that final, clinching at least a share of the ne-8 championship... ???staying in the ne8... 3-a #8 norwell trying to keep its conference title hopes alive, traveling to take on huntington north tonight..

???and the knights came out on fire in this one... first drive of the game... handoff goes to max ringger... and ringger does what he's been doing all year... breaks for a big gain..???later in the drive... this time eli riley is going to keep it himself... the dual-threat quarterback cuts back and scores... it's 7-0 norwell less than three minutes in to the first quarter...???knights get the ball right back... they march right back down the field... and this time it's ringger finding the endzone to give his team an early 14-0 lead..

???norwell moves to 7-1 on the season with a 30-14 win..

Staying in the n-e-8... east noble on the road visiting new haven... and this one started off with a bang... first quarter... no score... and sorry to the dogs... but ya got mossed... rowan zolman climbs the ladder for the catch..

And score... knights up seven...second quarter..

Same score... and again... dogs... ya got mossed... this time it's nick munson going up and getting this one... east noble up 14...later in the quarter.... bulldogs finally answer... quantri sanders takes the swing pass... and he's got reservations for six... new haven back within seven....but too much east noble tonight... justin marcellus in for the score... knights win 24-13... dekalb 40, bellmont 13 ???to wayne stadium... the generals taking on the homestead spartans.???first quarter... generals converting on fourth down a big gain..

Dwenger looking to keep pace in the s-a-c... they're hosting snider at shields field tonight...and this one was an old fashioned slugfest tonight... take you to the third... it's 7-3 snider... saints on the move... brenden lytle... somehow escapes the pressure... finds teddy steele downfield for first down yardage... deep in to snider territory...a few plays later... lytle... flushed from the pocket once again.... throws scross his body... and he's picked off by trenton hurst... third quarter comes to an end..

Saints looking to drive again... pulling out some tricks on fourth down... lytle the screen pass to vinny fiacable... but he's hit immediately by ison robinson..

Saints have to punt...they'd get the ball back after a fumble... and a few plays later... devon tippmann has a house call... 20 yards for the tuddy...saints take the 10-7 lead and they never look back..

Dwenger wins 17-7... out to gorsuch field... carroll playing host to concordia looking to rebound from their loss to homestead last week...chargers slow to start... and concordia took advantage... brandon davis... screen pass to amir drew... that's big first down yardage... in to carroll territory...later in the drive... fourth and goal for concordia... kam johnson on in the wildcat... looks like he's bottled up... but he escapes the tackle... reverses field... and finds the pylon for six... cadets go up seven...carroll looking to answer on their next drive... luke carmody rips off the big run in to concordia territory...a few plays later... jeff becker rolling... and finding jameson coverstone downfield for the big completion...carroll would get a field goal out of the drive... and they go on to win 24-14 your final tonight... next stop in the s-a-c comes at spuller stadium... northrop hosting north side.... ball game square at seven a piece when we pick it up in the second quarter... legends knocking on the door... ja'suan lambert plows in from a yard out on fourth down... north side up 7... bruins do have an answer... damarious cowen takes the handoff... makes a couple guys miss..

And there he goes... 53 yards to the crib... 261 yards on the ground, three touchdowns for cowen... bruins tie things back up...but north side would get one last crack before half... lambert... again from a yard out... plunges his way in... he had 165 yards... 4 touchdowns... legends retake the lead before half...but northrop gets the last laugh tonight... bruins win a tight one... 28-27 the final... ???to south side... the archers taking on the knighs of bishop luers.???third quarter hot start for archers....a quick score out of the gate... but the answer from luers.

Carson clark finds brody glenn across the middle... thats another first down.???couple plays later... clark looks around... finds his runing back hale... able to dive and grab it.???the knights they take this one... 41-27... ???we move to the ac-ac now... south adams ranked number one in the state in class 1-a, looking to move to 8-0 on the season as they host woodlan..???and this was just not a fair fight from the beginning... first quarter, first possesion for the starfires... james arnold hits braden bixler across the middle for the touchdown... it's 7-0 stars less than two minutes in..???ensuing touch for woodlan... jacob snyder trying to make something 3 happen, but he's picked off by alex gorney... south adams takes over with great field position..???and just two plays later, they take advantage... christian summersett finds paydirt... starfires go up 14-0...???they go on to win 61-6... and with that, south adams is your outright ac-ac champion for the second consecutive year... ???just up the road in bluffton..

Tigers were supposed to travel to adams central tonight, but that game was canceled due to covid concerns... prairie heights was supposed to play heritage, but that game was also scrapped... so the panthers made the trip down to bluffton..???and the tigers were putting it on 'em early... you saw hayden nern hitting bobby malcolm over the top for the touchdown... this time it's cody mittlestedt scoring for the tigers..

Makes it 34-0 bluffton early in the second quarter..

???later in the first half... nern to malcolm... if it ain't broke don't fix it... no one's catching malcolm..???tigers all over the panthers tonight, 64-13... they move to 7-1 on the season..

Lapel 42, jay county 15 let go up to albion, central noble welcoming eastside tonight.

It was all blazers most of the night.

They march right down the field on the opening drive of the second half.the blazers able to seal the edge here, letting matt firestine get into the endzone for score that helps out the blazers up 28-0 at this point.

The cougs, they would claw one back quarterback sawyer yoder absolutely launches one down the sideline to ashton smith who takes it 85 yards to the crib, giving cn their first points of the game.but their still down three touchdowns at this poi get nd it doesn better for the cougars.sawyer looking downfield, he would be picked off by carson jaco s and he takes off.he able to evade a few tacklers to complete the pick six for the blazers.

Eastside, come up winners tonight.they top central noble 42 - 7 the final there ?

Up at fairfield high school, the lakeland lakers paying the falcons a visit.fairfield showe about they early on.

First drive for the falcons, the pitch to dalton cripe who rips off a big chunk of yards for the falcons, apparently putting them within scoring distance because the very next play, they go jump ball.cory lantz finds braedon helms in the endzone to put the falcons up 6-0.the lakers trying to get something going the throw from jaydon marshall finds deion marshall on the sideline, but the falcons d was a bit of bend, but no break, they get to the qb here.

They go on to win 42-0 ?

Down to ligonier, the west noble chargers hosting churubusco tonight, a lot of defense in the first half.but busco finally gets their first tuddy of the game here.

Wyatt marks is able to avoid the tackle to help put the eagles up 8-6.a little bit later on, eagles force the chargers to punt, but they bobble the catch, and west noble recover the ball, but unfortunately, they would give it back to busco.

The eagles d.they were strong tonight, getting to the qb for a loss of yards.busco would get the offense rolling in the second half.

They go on to win 29-6 your final.

Final stop in the necc.... angola paying a visit to railroader country to face garrett....took a little while for the scoring to start.... but late in the first... angola gets on the board... tucker hassleman... the q-b sneak from a yard out... hornets up seven...second quarter... still a seven nothing ballgame... hassleman decides to do it himself once again... this time from a bit further out... he goes 80 yards untouched for the score...angola goes up 14... they cruise in this one to the 42-7 victory... gorgeous night at andrews field.northwood has lost back to back games...they sure would love to play spoiler here...-----------after a scoreless 1st quarter..

Northwood finds the endzone..

Kaden lone goes spinning in for six..northwood goes for two... they go up 8-0... -----------warsaw would answer with a strong drive..julius jones up the middle...gotta tackle better than that!he hustles inside the five yard line..warsaw knocking on the door--------next play..they give it to the former bachelor, now married man juan jaramillo for the touchdown..

Tigers kick the xp..8-7fast forward to the end..however... northwood able to hold off the tigers...they get the win 22- 21 at steele stadium... mishawaka hosting wawasee.

They try to go wide... but the football pops loose!

Warriors...get a stop on their own goal line.
