Volunteers serve up free meals
You may still be feasting off thanksgiving leftovers... but many are "giving thanks" today -- days after the holiday.
That's because some loyal volunteers served up a meal the "less fortunate" may have misse earlier this week.
Each month... the "secular franciscans and friends of terre haute" offer a hot breakfast.
Anyone who is food insecure can stop by saint benedict soup kitchen for breakfast to-go and snacks to last the weekend.
This meal comes at an especially important time as the pandemic forced the cancelation of free thanksgiving day dinners.
"we are just fortunate enough to be able to do this and that it's available to the community."
Free breakfasts are offered on the 4th saturday of each month.
