Tori -- was this a shock for her to find out employees were reluctant to come back?
Hayley teriyaki house says they usually see stacks of applications when they post a job opening.
But they've only had five people fill out an application in all of march.

Teriyaki house is a small local businesses that is struggling to hire people.

That means employees have to work more to makeup for the short staff.

Macy beal was working in retail last march, and is one of many people who had to find new work during the pandemic.

Tori standup tables and chairs are still stacked inside of teriyaki house, but they are grateful for customers who continue to order takeout.
And they need more employees to help handle those calls.
Phil feser from rush personnel says a lot of employers dealing with similar problems - lots of openings but not so many job hunters.

Terriyaki house says college terriyaki house says college students play a big part of its workforce but with school online this semester they hiring pools isn't so deep but hopes that will change in the fall.
